Men!
That is all I have to say about that!
So today was a pretty interesting day. We have been house hunting because we got pre-approved. Let me start by saying that what guys want and girls want are different. I look at the enivornment, and location (is it close to NY because I am still aiming at Columbia) then I look for the floor plan (is it unique?) the carpeting, central air and heat, kitchen layout, dining room, lighting, etc.
It is actually the opposite with baby, he looks at price, is it clean, size of office space, location (close to work and grocery shopping etc) and how much repair work would need to be done etc.
You would think that this balances each other out. Oh no it doesn't. Not that there is a big fight coming up about the type of house we will get, but there is a debate.
House #1: The floor plan is beautiful and the kitchen is a nice (small size). It has wallpaper in every bathroom and the Master Bath looks grimmy. Baby saw something else. He saw potential
House #2: I fell in love with it immediately. Floor plan is loft like. I felt like I was in a loft. It has french doors and it hangs over the lake (right behind our house) and it is close to the beach! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I love it. Baby thought "beams in the house", not feeling the loft, office space not available for the price etc. Ugh
House #3: No central air, fixtures are dated, windows are dated and not air conditioning/heating friendly etc. Baby saw potential. "I like this house". But there is no central air! "Well that is not an issue, we have airconditioners in ever room" but that will be hard to resell. "it is a three bedroom babe, for the price it is good deal." Need I mention to you that the location is not that nice! It is in the middle of no where!
Ugh!
At first I wasn't going to, but a quick consult with T, convinced me (after broading for two hours) that the time had come to break out the pots and get to cooking (in the kitchen). Can you smell the Egusi soup and Iyan! I want my damn House!
